Laura Gillis

Laura Gillis, 95, of Beech Street, Pottstown, PA died Thursday at her residence. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of Clay & Marjorie (Jones) Gillis. Laura had worked in the Laundry room of Valley Forge Hospital. She then worked as a home health care aide. She was an active member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, 902 North Evans Street, Pottstown, PA. She was affectionately called Mother Laura by her church members. She had served on the missionary board, the stewardship board and was involved in youth counseling at the church Laura was pre-deceased by her two sons David Gillis and James T. Gillis. She is survived by her two grandchildren Lakeyta and David Gillis and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10 A.M. from the New Life Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Charles Cedeno, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories Cemetery, Limerick, PA . A viewing will be Wednesday from 9 – 10 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the New Life Assembly of God Church, 902 North Evans Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
