Karl Stone

Karl R. Stone Jr. 83, widower of Mary Ann (Petro) Stone of E. Schuylkill Rd. Pottstown passed away Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Manatawny Manor. Born in Pottstown he was the son of Karl R. Sr. and Christine (Binder) Stone. Karl was employed at his families store, Stone Jewelry Store of Pottstown, later as traffic manager at Superior Tube, Collegeville and then as warehouse manager for Levitz Furniture. He was a member of St. John 's Byzantine Catholic Church and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Karl, was a coach with the Pottstown Knee-Hi Junior and American League Baseball Teams. Surviving are sons Karl R. Stone III and wife Mary, Pottstown. Leonard Bradley Jr. San Jose, CA. and Michael Stone, Boyertown. Seven Grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Thomas Taylor Stone and William L. Stone. A Divine Liturgy will be offered 11 am Monday August 5, 2013 in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church 301 Cherry St. Pottstown. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call 9 to 10:15 am Monday at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 High St. Pottstown.
