Josephine R. Battista

Josephine Battista, 90 of Stowe, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Carolina East Medical center in New Bern, NC with her family by her side.

Josephine was born in Atlas, PA on November 21, 1933, to Theresa (Berenik) Kovalovich and Andrew Kovalovich.

She was employed at Gudebrod Brothers in Stowe, PA.

She is survived by her husband Albert, son Ted (Debbie) Starinshak, grandchildren Matthew and Amanda Starinshak, stepchildren Tom (Patricia) Battista, Jeff (Ginny) Battista, Cheryl Osbourne, Lisa Battista and a sister Theresa Pluta.

She is predeceased by her first husband Theodore, who died in 1984. Also, siblings; John, Paul, Andrew, Joseph, Mary, and Elizabeth.

A funeral Mass will be held in April 27, 2024 at St. Gabriel's Church in Stowe at 1 p.m. a visitation will be held prior to Mass from noon till 1 p.m. at the Church.

Inurnment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
