Joseph J. Ross

Joseph J. Ross, 92, husband of Anna Marie (Harbach) Ross of Pottstown, PA passed away on Sunday November 20, 2016 at Gwynedd Square Nursing Home Lansdale, PA . Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Elaine) Ross. Joseph had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Pottstown, PA for twenty-five years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the former Pottstown American Legion and a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. in Pottstown. Joe loved hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was also a referee for many sporting events in the Pottstown area for several years. He had been inducted in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame for his many years of service as a referee. Surviving with his wife are three sons Joseph Ross of Reading, PA, Richard J. Ross husband of Jody of Glenside, PA and George Ross husband of Mary of West Virginia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA on Monday November 28, 2016 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. and Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA .
