Joseph Mark Pachik

Joseph Mark "Tek" Pachik, 70, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Reading Hospital.

He was a son of the late Joseph and Gloria (DeLeonardis) Pachik.

"Tek" acquired his lifelong nickname while playing American Legion baseball for the Pottstown Steelers in reference to the similar-sounding Fred Patek, who was then a celebrated MLB player. Even his nephews playfully referred to him as "Uncle Tek." Joe later worked as a personal catching instructor for youth in and around the Pottstown area.

Joseph is survived by a brother, Michael Pachik, nephews, Sean and Christopher and great nieces, Chole Britton and Anabelle Pachik.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June, 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Cemetery, Pottstown.
