Joseph William Mcdermott

Joseph W. McDermott Jr., 70, loving husband of Marueen (Tees) McDermott, passed away December, 23, 2021 at the Phoenixville Hospital.

He was a son of the late Joseph W. and Margaret (Lewis) McDermott Sr.

Joe was an avid golfer and liked to travel with his wife and close friends. They would go once a year to New York City to see a show on Broadway. Joe and Maureen have traveled to Maine. They visited Ireland where Joe developed a taste for Irish whiskey. Joe was a fitness instructor at his local Y.M.C.A.

Along with his wife, Maureen, he is survived by a son, Joseph McDermott (Lindsey). A brother, Martin McDermott (Nancy), two sisters: Marge (long-time companion Mike) and Mary (Bob). He has one granddaughter Rosalynn McDermott.

Joe is predeceased by a sister Trish McDermott.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Aloysius Church in the Gathering Center from 9A.M. to 11A.M. located at 223 Beech St., Pottstown. A Mass will follow at 11 A.M. in the Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Broomall.
