Joseph Gramata

Joseph Gramata, 88, widower of Mary (Goydish) Gramata of Sanatoga Court and formerly of Pottstown, PA died Wednesday December 28, 2011 at his residence. Born in Audenried, PA he was the son of the late Metro and Pearl Gramata. Mr. Gramata had worked as a machinist for many years at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation plant formerly of Pottstown. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Mr. Gramata was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church on Cherry Stereet in Pottstown, PA. He was a great conversationalist who loved to reminisce. Mr. Gramata was a handyman who loved woodworking and fixing things. Surviving are two sons Dennis J. Gramata husband of Carolyn of Kendall Park, NJ and David G. Gramata husband of Ann Marie of West Chester, PA . Also, two daughters Barbara A. wife of David Pressman of Washington, NC and Bernadine M. wife of Anthony Kopicki of Philadelphia, PA . he is also survived by three grandchildren Matthew and Kevin Gramata and Drew Kopicki and a brother Basil Gramata husband of Eleanor of McAdoo, PA . Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church 301 Cherry Street Pottstown, PA on Saturday December 31, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Nicholas DeProspero, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery North Hanover Street in Pottstown, PA A viewing will be Saturday morning from 9:30 – 10 A.M. with Parastas services at 10 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church Building Fund 301 Cherry Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
