Jose L Hernandez

Jose L. Hernandez Sr., 82, husband of the loving Herminia (Benitez) Hernandez, passed away December 18, 2024 at the Phoenixville Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was a son of the late Jose and Hope (Adorno) Hernandez.

Jose enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking family dinners. His hobby was building things from scratch. He liked Spanish dancing, older Spanish music and Spanish movies. When he would relax he enjoyed watching The Three Stooges. Jose was known for his jokes; he loved making people laugh. Most importantly he was a family man.

Along with his wife, Jose leaves behind his memories to be cherished by his children: Ramon Benitez, Edwin Hernandez, Joanne Garcia, Jose Hernandez Jr. (wife Holly), siblings: Tina Gonzalez, Ida Sierra, Carman Hernandez, Edward Hernandez, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Jose is predeceased by a sister, Carmanana Gonzalez and great grandchild, Harper Anais Elm.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9a.m. till 10:45 a.m at St. Aloysius Church Gathering Center, Pottstown. Mass will follow promptly at 11 a.m. in the Church.

Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Pottstown.
