John J. Zissa

John J. Zissa Jr. 84, husband of Phoebe (Stoltzfus) Zissa of Ashfield, PA passed away Tuesday Oct. 27, 2015 at Gnaden Huetten Medical Center, Lehighton, PA. Born in Pottstown he was the son of the late John Sr. and Helen (Pinder) Zissa. He was employed as an aircraft mechanic and later by the STV Engineering Co. John was a US Airforce veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was an avid family man and loved aviation and was a member of EAA. He also loved camping and Jeeps. Surviving with his wife is a son John Jay Zissa and his wife Cheryl of Birdsboro and a daughter Phoebe Anne Zissa, Allentown. A grandson Derek and his wife Helen. A sister Frances Czeiner. Predeceased by sisters Helen, Eva, Mary Ann and Irene. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Saturday Oct. 31, 2015 at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 High St. Pottstown. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9 to 10 am at the Funeral Home.
