John O. Rizzardi

John O. Rizzardi, 87, widower of Mary Jane (Doyle) Rizzardi of Pottstown, PA passed away on Thursday January 25, 2018 at his residence. Born in Minersville, PA he was the son of the late Otto and Virginia (Rizzardi) Rizzardi. John had worked as a fitter for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation formerly of Pottstown for 30 years before retiring from the plant in 1981. He then worked for the Windsor Design Co. of Malvern for three years until he stopped working in 1992. He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA . He was also a 3rd degree member of Father Bally Council #1192, Knights of Columbus. Surviving are two sons John J. Rizzardi husband of Donna of North Coventry Township, Thomas R. Rizzardi husband of Susan of Pottstown, PA. He is also survived by a daughter Mary Ann wife of Russell Lightcap of Douglassville, PA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a brother James Rizzardi of Minersville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Noon. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. –Noon in the church's Gathering Center. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Aloysius R.C.C. at the above listed address or to the Sanatoga Center 225 Evergreen Road Pottstown, PA 19464.
