John L. Lynn

John L. "Jack" Lynn, age 93 years, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at home. He was the loving husband of Rosemarie Valerio Lynn who died in 2013 after 55 years of marriage.

Born in Scranton, PA on July 21, 1928, he was the son of John Vandom Lynn and Anna Rita McNally Lynn. Jack graduated from St. Mary's High School, Wilkes Barre, in 1946 and enlisted in the US Army, serving in Beppu, Japan from 1946 to 1948. After his military service, Jack attended The New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Science, earning a certificate in Dental Laboratory Technology. He was employed for over 30 years as the dental technician for Morton Cohen, DDS, in Jeffersonville, PA. Jack and Rosemarie raised their children in Norristown, PA and Trooper, PA before moving to South Heidelberg Township, PA. Since 2014, Jack resided at the home of his daughter, Valerie McGraw.

Jack was a devout Roman Catholic and was active in many ministry services through the years. Among them were The Legion of Mary in Norristown, the church choir of St. Patrick's Church in Norristown, CCD Religious Educator for Visitation BVM Church in Trooper, and the St. Ignatius Loyola Berks Heim Volunteers. He held a lifelong devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

Jack was a prolific painter especially of birds, still life and pastoral scenes. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren with whom he was always a willing participant in play and drawing. He enjoyed playing his old ukulele. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Jack was predeceased by his brother, J. Robert Lynn, and sister, Maureen Lynn Hannon. He is survived by his four children: Teresa, wife of Jeffery Stauss, Douglassville; John J., husband of Pamela Lynn, North Wales, Valerie McGraw, North Coventry; and Jeffry Lynn, husband of Debbie Lynn. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Jeannine Rhoads, Andrea Bomenka, Brian Stauss, and Jessica Stauss; Jennifer Lynn and Anna Lynn; Ryan McGraw and Connor McGraw; Amanda Lynn and Justin Lynn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 25, 2022 at St. Aloysius Church, Pottstown, at 11 A.M. A viewing will be held prior to Mass in St. Aloysius Gathering Center from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
