John R. Hatcher

John R. Hatcher, Sr., 80, husband of Callon V. (Graves) Hatcher of North York Street, Pottstown, PA died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Manor Care in Pottstown. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Jack C. and Lillian T. (Black) Hatcher. John had worked for B.F. Goodrich Company in Oaks. He then worked as a truck driver for Swann Oil Company. Most recently he was the owner and operator of the Bridge Lounge in Phoenixville, PA He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Pottstown, Pa . He was also a member of the Montgomery Elks Lodge of Pottstown and the American Legion formerly of Pottstown, PA. Surviving with his wife is a son John R. Hatcher, Jr. husband of Connie of Pottstown and a daughter Diane Adams of Pottstown, PA. Also, two sisters Charlotte Lucas of Macon, GA and Frances M. Laws of Pottstown, PA and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 10 A.M. at Invictus Church 79 North Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Dr. Everett Debnam, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA . Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
