John P. Ferranti

John P. Ferranti, Sr., 92, widower of Mary G. (Campanaro) Ferranti, who John was married to for 62 years, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Berkshire Center in Exeter Township. John was a former resident of Stowe, PA. He was the son of the late Carrante & Annetta (Micale) Ferrante. John had worked for Dana Corporation of Pottstown, PA for 50 years until his retirement in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a purple Heart. John was a member of St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. 127 East Howard Street, Stowe. PA. He also served as a West Pottsgrove Township Commissioner for 12 years and was a Building Inspector for the township for 5 years. Surviving is a son Louis Ferranti husband of Kathy of Stowe, PA and a daughter Lisa wife of Randall Boyer also of Stowe, PA . He was pre-deceased by two sons David Ferranti and John Ferranti, Jr. John is also survived by a sister Nancy Pyott of Boyertown, PA and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother August J. Ferrante and a sister Frances Bush. The family would like to thank the staff of the Berkshire Center for the excellent care he received during the past five years. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. on Monday March 21, 2016 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Monday from 9:30 – 10:45 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Cub Scout Pac #333, 1101 Pepperidge Drive, Reading, PA 19606 or to St. Gabriel of The Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. at the above listed address.
