John C. Charles

John "Jack" Christian Charles, Jr., 81, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022.

He was the son of the late John Christian and Evelyn (Smith) Charles, Sr.

Jack, an Army Veteran and proud father to his 5 daughters, often referred to them as the pride of his life. He delighted in his 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

His hobbies included working on cars, watching sports - especially his favorite football team, the Los Angeles Rams, and cooking. Whenever there was a party, you could count on him to provide the food.

Jack led a significant life and influenced a lot of people. He was always there to lend an ear and impart sage advice. He was loved by many and loved many more. All who knew him will miss him.

He is survived by his daughters: Donna Sandberg (Rob), Michele Hett (Robbie), Suzanne Blades, Kristan Scofield, and Deidre Young (Bobby). His grandchildren: Justin Charles (Amanda), J.T. Sandberg (Michaelene), Jake Sandberg (Brooke), Jadelynn Niehaus (Josh), R.J. Hett (Alex), CPL. Tanner Hett, Morgan Hett, Zach Scofield, Elly Young, and Eliza Young. His great grandchildren: Kylee and Madison Charles, Brantley and Michael Sandberg, Averie Sartoresi, Hudson and Holden Niehaus, Gavin McDonald, Addison and Syler Hett.

Along with his parents, Jack is predeceased by two sisters: Jeanne Scheno and Barbara Patierno and a grandson Jeremiah Sandberg.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More, Pottstown.
