John E. Bogda

John E. Bogda, 80, widower of Mary (Fritz) Bogda, of West Mifflin, PA and formerly of Pottstown, PA passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2017. Born in Homestead, PA he was the son of the late John and Anna Bogda. John retired from Mesta Machine as a crane operator and was a veteran of the Army. Surviving is a sister Joan (Joseph) Karpieniak. He is also pre-deceased by a brother Michael (late Esther) Bogda. He is a brother in law of Barbara and Dan Silvano, Dolores and Francis Panfile and John and Janet Fritz; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Savolsiks-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Thursday April 20, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 from 9 – 10 A.M. from St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 301 Cherry Street, Pottstown, PA with Divine Liturgy to be held at 10 A.M. at the church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
