Joan Marie Grande

Joan Marie (Trembly) Grande, 83 wife of Vincent J. Grande for 62 years, of Thomas Oakes Drive, North Coventry Township passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Manatawny Manor Nursing Home, East Coventry Township. Born in Carthage, NY she was the daughter of the late Fred and Maddie (Gates) Trembly. Joan had worked as a telephone operator for 2 years in Watertown, NY and for 18 months in Philadelphia. She then was a secretary in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Delaware for one year after which she became a full time homemaker. Surviving with her husband are five children David Grande husband of Kim and Gary Grande both of N. Coventry Township, Kevin Grande husband of Lisa of Trappe, PA , Brett Grande husband of Tara of San Jose, CA and Cynthia (Grande) Smoot of Lancaster, PA . She is also survived by two sisters Jean Loar of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Dorothy Carter of Overland Park, Kansas and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by a brother Jack Trembly and a sister Patricia Trojanowski. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Thomas More R.C.C. 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Friday morning from 9:30 – 11 A.M. at the church.
