Jesse Baro Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, left this world peacefully at the age of 93 on February 2, 2026, at Fairlane Gardens. Born on October 30, 1932, in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, he was a cherished son of the late Jesse and Margaret (Pachulio) Baro Sr.
Known affectionately as "the General," Jesse lived a life defined by passion and dedication. A lifelong baseball enthusiast, he was an ardent supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies and even had the honor of playing for the Phillies Farm Team. His love for sports extended to hunting and bowling, where he built lasting connections with fellow enthusiasts. Jesse's vibrant spirit also shone through his active membership in St. Gabriel's Lodge, Victor Emanuel, the Pottstown Elks, and the Pine Forge Sportsman Club.
Above all, Jesse was a devoted family man. His greatest joy came from the time spent with his beloved wife, Cheryl (Viscardi) Baro, and their family. He leaves behind his cherished son, Stephen Baro, and daughter-in-law Tamara, his stepchildren: Christopher Hamilton, Rebecca Duble, husband Eric, Leif Matlack, Steven Matlack, along with his treasured grandchildren, Stephen J. Baro (fiancée Jessica), Mackenzie Baro, and Emily Baromany beloved nephews and nieces . Jesse's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He was predeceased by two daughters, Andrea Baro and Alyssa Baro, and nine siblings, who will welcome him with open arms.
In celebration of Jesse's remarkable life, a viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc., located in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. A service in honor of Jesse will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, allowing friends and family to gather, share memories, and commemorate a life well-lived. Following the service, Jesse will be laid to rest in the serene surroundings of Forest Hills Cemetery.
