Jennie (Hodacz) Wahl, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her residence in Pottstown, PA, surrounded by her loving family. She was 98 years old and was the cherished wife of the late Irvin F. Wahl.
Born on January 28, 1928, Jennie was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stephanie (Pawlik) Hodacz. Throughout her remarkable life, she radiated warmth and joy through her passion for life's simple pleasures. Jennie found joy in watching romantic movies, solving word searches, and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Her adventurous spirit led her to enjoy trips to the casino and countless happy moments at her daughter's camper in Sea Isle City, NJ. Most importantly, Jennie's heart was always with her family. She took great joy in creating lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her legacy of love in their hearts forever.
She is survived by her children: Jane Pace and her husband Gary, Kenneth Verbella and his wife Susan, and Linda Ritchie. Jennie's family tree flourished with 9 grandchildren and 12 beautiful great-grandchildren, each of whom were a source of joy and pride in her life.
Jennie is predeceased by her siblings: Stella Martin, Edward Hodacz, Walter Hodacz, John Hodacz, and a son-in-law, Robert Ritchie, all of whom she held dear in her memories.
A viewing for Jennie will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc in Pottstown. A service celebrating her life will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, where family and friends will gather to honor her cherished memories. Jennie will be laid to rest alongside her loved ones in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Pottstown.
