Jennie Salaneck

Jennie Salaneck, 95, widow of William Salaneck of Douglassville, PA passed away Wednesday September 19, 2012 at her residence. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Padwalnya) Smyk. Jennie had worked as a seamstress for various clothing manufacturers in the Pottstown area. She was a member of St. John The Baptist Byzantine Church 301 Cherry Street, Pottstown, PA where she was also a member of the ladies guild. She was also a member of St. Gabriel's R.C.C. senior Citizens and had been a volunteer sewer for Manor Care of Pottstown. Surviving is a son William R. Salaneck husband of Ulla of Lidkoping, Sweden and his children Erik Salaneck husband of Anna and Anna Salaneck-Hakansson wife of Claes. She is also survived by a daughter Sandra M. wife of Gerald L. Richard with whom she resided in Douglassville and her children Donna wife of Craig Minich, Paul Richard husband of Cindy and Todd Richard husband of Jen and fifteen great-grandchildren. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church on Friday September 28, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA A viewing will be Thursday evening September 27, 2012 from 6 – 8 P.M. and Friday morning from 9 – 10 A.M. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA .
