Jean M. Diffendal

Jean M. Diffendal, age 62, of King of Prussia and formerly of Pottstown, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2014, in the Reading Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jean was the daughter of the late James J. and Marie E. (nee Ginnis) Diffendal. She was a graduate of Pottstown High School and had worked in customer service support for HIBU/Yellowbook fo over 15 years, along with a secondary job as a cashier with Superfresh. Jean loved spending time with her family and is survived by six brothers, James (Judy), Wyomissing; Dennis, (Debbie), Ivyland; Richard (Sandy), Pottstown; Mark (Trish), Jenkintown; John, Honeybrook and David (Diana), Lititz; and one sister Marie, wife of the late Dallas Breidenbach, Pottstown. Jean especially relished her role as aunt to Jason, Jill, Julie, Andrew, Samuel, and Matthew Diffendal and Erik, Michael and Nathan Breidenbach, and grand-nieces Caitlin and Lindsay Diffendal. She is also survived by her aunt Elaine Steindl, widow of John, New Smyrna Beach, FL, and uncle Jerry Ginnis and wife Kathy, Venice, FL. Jean was preceded in death by her sister Susan Diffendal and her brother Gregg (Kim), Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jean's memory to the John Paul II Center for Special Learning 1092 Welsh Road, Reading, PA 19607. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C., 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at 10 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Center of St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Wednesday from 9 – 10 A.M.
