James E. Mort

James E. Mort Sr. 77, husband of Patricia (Cutillo) Mort of N. Keim St. Lower Pottsgrove Twp. passed away peacefully Sunday January 11, 2015 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pottsville he was the son of the late William and Genevieve (O'Brien) Mort. Jim was employed as a tire builder by the Firestone Corp. and later by Aqua American Water Co. He was a member of St. Aloysius RC Church. Surviving with his wife are sons James E. Mort Jr. Boyertown, Michael A. Mort, Upper Pottsgrove and Steven J. Mort and wife Beth, Birdsboro. Daughters Deborah A. Gaus, Lower Pottsgrove Twp. and Suzanne wife of Anthony Almond, Phoenixville. A brother Thomas Mort and a sister Katherine Care. Seven Grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a brother William Mort. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Saturday Jan. 17, 2015 in St. Aloysius RC Church, Beech and Hanover Sts. Pottstown. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9 to 10:15 am in St. Aloysius Church Gathering Center. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church 223 Beech St. Pottstown 19464. Arrangements by Warker - Troutman Funeral Home, Pottstown.
