James J. Mcconnell

James J. McConnell, 95, widower of Betty F. (Leidi) McConnell of State Street, Pottstown, PA passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his residence. Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late James F. and Mary (Steelman) McConnell. Jim was a machine operator for Dana Corporation in Pottstown, PA for 44 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. Pottstown, PA. He was an avid golfer. Jim was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Surviving is a son Robert John McConnell with whom he resided in Pottstown, PA and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA with Rev. Stephen Paolino of St. Aloysius R.C.C. officiating. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Thursday morning from 9 – 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
