James M. Mazeski

James (Jim) M. Mazeski, 74, long-time resident of Lower Pottsgrove Township, and husband of Patricia (Jerome) Mazeski for 50 years, entered into eternal life on January 6, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Jim was born August 8, 1940 in Danville, PA, son of the late Edward and Mary (Pchola) Mazeski. A graduate of Coal Township High School, and having served in the United States Navy, he retired from Bell Telephone Co. in 1992 and then worked as an independent contractor for several years. Jim was an avid model railroader, and thoroughly enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events. He was a member of the Pottstown Senior Circle. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Jennifer, wife of Kevin Graber, Matthew Mazeski, and Jessica, wife of Mark Smolij, all of Pottstown. He was affectionately known as Pappap by the five grandchildren he adored: Justin Ferguson, Raina and Mira Smolij, and Joshua and Karson Graber. He is also survived by one brother; Robert Mazeski and wife, Hazel, of Lancaster, a sister-in-law Bernadette Petro, wife of Bernard of Catawissa, along with several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 10 at St. Aloysius R.C.C., 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, with Rev. Joseph Maloney presiding. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 9-10:30 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Buchert Road, Pottstown.
