James Cooper

James "Jimmy" L. Cooper Sr., aged 70, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will forever be remembered for his zest for life, warm heart, and culinary talents. Born on October 8, 1955, in Pottstown, PA, he passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of love and laughter.

Jimmy, the son of the late O'Dell and Vera (Gilis) Cooper Sr., was a passionate cook who enjoyed bringing people together through food. His culinary creations were a source of joy for family and friends alike. He found happiness in simple pleasures, whether it was casting a line while fishing, meticulously cleaning cars, or cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with family, creating lasting memories that will be celebrated for years to come.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted children: Chastity Cole (and her husband John), James Cooper Jr., Andrea Cooper, and Rasheda Miller, along with his siblings O'Dell Cooper Jr., Carol Hampton (and her husband Ronnie), Dora Cooper, Kathy Cooper, and Michael Cooper. His legacy continues through his 15 beloved grandchildren and seven wonderful great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Jimmy is predeceased by his parents and siblings Robert Williams, Shirley Thorp, and Lola Gills.

Friends and family will gather to honor Jimmy's life during a viewing on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc. in Pottstown. A service will follow from 10 AM to 11 AM, where stories, laughter, and love will fill the room, celebrating a remarkable man who touched the hearts of so many.
