James Coccia

James Coccia, 73, of Royersford, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Woodbridge Place, Phoenixville.

Born in Pottstown on January 20, 1947 he was a son of the late Anthony D. and Stella (Budnick) Coccia.

James was married to the late Eileen K. (Finnegan) Coccia. James worked as a corrections officer at Graterford Prison for over 19 years before retiring in 2002. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Boyertown Orioles and was an avid softball player. Two of his hobbies included bowling and golf. On thing James was known for was being a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

James is survived by a brother John A. Coccia and wife Romana; two sisters; Patricia Ann (Coccia) Gresko and Jeanne (Coccia) Knauer and husband Carl and a sister-in-law Vivian Coccia.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Eileen, James is predeceased by a brother Anthony M. Coccia and a brother-in-law Andrew Gresko.

James had a great love for his family, especially all his nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11am in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St, Royersford, 19468. James will be laid to rest beside Eileen in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pottstown Cancer Center "Stretch to Ride" or Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 838 Walnut St, Royersford, PA 19468.
