James A. Diamond

James A. Diamond, 89, husband of Mary (Spotts) Diamond of Pottstown, PA who he was married to for 60 years , passed away on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Royersford, PA . Born in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late John T. and Helen (Oley) Diamond. Jim was a Phoenixville High School graduate of the class of 1948. He worked as a laborer for the former A.P. Desano and J.R. Hollingsworth companies. He then worked as a Park Ranger for Valley Forge Park. He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. 223 Beech St. in Pottstown, PA . Surviving with his wife are three children Lynn Benensky wife of Michael of Pottstown, PA, James Diamond husband of Jeanette of Camp Hill, PA and Tracey Flynn wife of Mark of Pottstown, PA .He is also survived by five grandchildren Sean Diamond (Lauren) of Somerville, MA, Eric Diamond (Nicole) of Downingtown, PA, Patrick Flynn (Alysson) of Columbus, MS, Gabriel Benensky of Pottstown, PA and Amy Diamond of Camp Hill, PA . Jim is also survived by three great-granddaughters Mia, Kaylee and Lucy . Jim is also pre-deceased by a brother John T. Diamond, Jr. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Saturday March 17, 2018 at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends in the church's Gathering Center Saturday from 9:30-10:45 A.M. Interment will be private in St. Aloysius New Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pottstown Regional Public Library 500 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 or to St. Aloysius R.C.C. 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
