Irene Pota

Irene Pota, 87, of Manatawny Manor Nursing Home, East Coventry Township died Sunday August 10, 2014 at the nursing home. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Doris) Pota. Irene was an inspector for Stanley G. Flagg's Co. formerly of Stowe, PA for many years until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. 127 East Howard Street, Stowe, PA. She was also a member of the church's Woman's Society and the Altar & Rosary Society. Irene was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of Father Bally Council # 1192, Knights of Columbus in Stowe, PA . Irene also enjoyed oil painting. Surviving are nieces and nephews Lynn Levengood, Donna Bridegam, Donald Levengood and Cynthia Levengood. She was also pre-deceased by a sister Pearl Levengood. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother R.C.C. on Friday August 15, 2014 at 11 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Friday from 10-11 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Caring Hospice 400 Commerce Drive, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
