Ines Maria Acevedo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on June 4, 1938, to the late Frank and Maria Perez, Ines was known for her big heart, unwavering faith, and the warmth she brought to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Ines's passion for cooking and sewing was a reflection of her love for nurturing those around her. She created countless meals that brought family and friends together, often filling her home with laughter and the delightful aromas of her culinary masterpieces.
Throughout her life, Ines was deeply committed to her community, actively participating in various outreach programs and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Her dedication to service exemplified the teachings of her faith, as she was also an avid evangelist for her church, passionately sharing her beliefs and inspiring others to find joy and solace in their spirituality.
Ines adored her family above all else, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, and all who were touched by her kindness. She taught them the values of love, compassion, and generosity, and her spirit will continue to resonate in the moments they share in her memory.
Ines will be warmly remembered by her children; Miquel Acevedo (Melissa); Wilson Acevedo-Perez (Dorothy); Carmen Thompson (Anthony); Daly Smith; and Maritza Acevedo; her siblings, Americo Perez; Lidia Acevedo; Sergio Perez; Anna Ocasio; Haide Reyes; Edith Pineda; Margarita Creasy; Nidia Santiago; Benny Perez; Billy Perez; and Frank Perez; as well as 14 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ines was predeceased by a brother, Andy Perez, and a son-in-law, Ronald Smith.
A viewing will be held for Ines at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home; 726 E. High Street, Pottstown, on Friday, December 26th from 10am-11am followed by a service at 11:00 am. Burial at Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, to follow.
Ines Maria Acevedo will be deeply missed, but her generous spirit and vibrant love for life will forever inspire those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, knowing that she brought light into the lives of many.
