Hector M. Nieves

Hector M. "Papo" Nieves Jr., 62, of Pottstown, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2024 at the Lankenau Medical Center.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the Hector M. Nieves Sr., and Merida Arana.

Papo was the beloved husband of Iris H. (Rosa) Nieves, with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage.

He was employed by John Middleton Co. as an Industrial Mechanic for over 15 years.

Papo was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed playing softball, pool, dominoes, racing cars and watching Nascar. He took pride in being a Pit Crew Chief. He was known to many as "Mr. Fix It", always loved working with his hands. But what he truly loved is fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Hector R. Nieves; Jocelyn Nieves, companion of Jacob Vasko; Catiria Lopez and Christopher Lopez, husband of Selena. He is also survived by six siblings, a step brother, five grandchildren, Konner Pierce, Dominik Pierce, Emiliano Medina, Ezra Medina, and Owen Lopez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Papo was predeceased by his daughter, Nelida Nieves.

A Private Celebration of life Service will be held at a later date.
