George Macomber

George C. Macomber Sr., 87, of Pottstown, passed away at Complete Care at Berkshire on May 20th, 2025.

George was born in Philadelphia, PA to his parents Frank and Anna Macomber. He was one of 15 kids, which included his sisters Dot, Joanna, Pauline, and Betty, and his brothers Curly, Frank, Harry, and Earl, among others.

George was a beloved staff member at Pottsgrove School District, where he was head custodian. He also spent many years working for Bud Company; working at the office in Eagleville as well as the warehouse in Phoenixville.

On April 25, 1959, George married the love of his life, the late Dorothy Macomber. Together, they shared three children: Jim Macomber of Shoemakersville, husband of Donna; Linda Macomber of Pottstown; and George Macomber Jr. of North Coventry, husband of Denise. George was also blessed with six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by everyone in his family and all those who knew him.

George's funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home with interment at Limerick Garden of Memories to follow. A viewing will be held the morning of the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home is honored to assist the Macomber family.
