George P. Koren

George P. Koren, 94, widower of Helen A. (Pastva) Koren of North Price Street, Pottstown, PA died Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Hreshko-Pollick) Koren. Mr. Koren was a precision grinder for Dana Corporation, Pottstown, PA for 43 years until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Holy Trinity R.C.C. and St. Aloysius R.C.C. He was a third degree member of Father Bally Council # 1192 Knights of Columbus of Stowe, PA. He was also a member of Dana quarter century club and glee club. He also belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Club and the Jednota Lodge. Surviving is a son George Koren husband os Sandra M. of Deptford, NJ and a daughter Patricia A. Koren pf Pottstown, PA. Also, three sisters, Mary widow of Stanley Karvoski and Cecelia widow of Paul Tshudy both of Pottstown, PA and Bernadette wife of Stanley Grzywacz of Collegeville, PA and a brother Joseph Koren husband of Rita of Birdsboro, PA . Also, two grandchildren David Koren husband os Sasha of NY,NY and Amy Koren of Deptford, NJ and a great-granddaughter Oona Koren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Trinity R.C.C., South Street, Pottstown, Pa on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. . Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery Stowe, PA . A viewing will be Saturday from 8:30 - 10 a.m. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA .
