Florence Venarchik

Florence (Anzulewicz) Venarchik, 90, went home to her Saviour on November 9, 2022. After a brief illness, she passed peacefully at Promedica in Pottstown.

Born and raised in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Janieswskie) Anzulewicz.

Florence was a loving mother of four children, a homemaker and resident of Pottstown for over 65 years. She was also a retired seamstress who enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, gardening and travel. With her long-time companion Earl, Florence travelled extensively visiting over a dozen different countries. Closer to home, she enjoyed the occasional Atlantic City trip with family and her good friend Esther Long. She also loved her time in Ocean City, NJ vacationing with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence was a 65-year member of St. John's Byzantine Church in Pottstown.

A wonderful cook, Florence loved the holidays, opening her home to family and friends. Many will miss her warm and friendly smile and sense of humor.

Florence is survived by her longtime companion of 48 years, Earl Kissinger Jr. and three sons: George M. Venarchik (wife Jeanette), Laurence Venarchik (wife Lora) and Nicholas Venarchik. She is also survived by her sister Mildred Rota of Shamokin, and her eight loving grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Florence is predeceased by her first husband George L. Venarchik, her sister Eleanor Cristan, her daughter Janice Frank, and a granddaughter, Jillian Frank.

An evening viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A morning viewing will be held at St. John's Byzantine Church, Cherry St., Pottstown on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow Mass in St. John's Byzantine Cemetery, Pottstown.
