Fern E. Stoudt

Fern E. (Hoffmaster) Stoudt, 87, widow of Melvin R. Stoudt of North Warren Street, Pottstown, PA died Wednesday June 15, 2011 at Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA , she was the son of the late Lester Hoffmaster and Ethel (Knight) Campbell. Mrs. Stoudt was a secretary to the principal of Franklin School for 24 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Pottstown, PA . Since 1987 she had been a volunteer at Manor Care in Pottstown. Surviving is a son, Richard W. Stoudt husband of M. Connie of Pottstown, PA and a grandson Timothy Stoudt of Pompton Plains, NJ and a great granddaughter Hannah Stoudt. She is also survived by a sister Mary Jane widow of Merrill Stoudt of Phoenix, Arizona and a niece Jean Stoudt and a nephew Robert Stoudt. Burial Office will be celebrated in Christ Episcopal Church, 316 East High Street Pottstown, PA on Monday June 20, 2011 at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Terry I. Highland, Rector officiating. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading, PA. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening June 19, 2011 from 7 – 8:30 P.M. and on Monday morning from 8 – 9:15 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christ Episcopal Church 316 East High Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
