Fayetta Louise Whitehurst

Fayetta "Peggy" Louise Whitehurst, 67, was called back to the Lord on Saturday, February 20th, 2021. She was the cherished wife of Marvin Alexander Whitehurst, Jr. of Pottstown. The couple married September 20, 2002.

Born in Spring City, on November 20, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Lafayette and Ruth (Detwiler) Wade. Peggy was a faithful member of Second Baptist of Pottstown, where she was proudly baptized.

She was last employed with Walmart as a custodian. Before that, she was a seamstress and then a production worker with John Middleton.

Peggy was know for her cakes, cookies and pies. Her most beloved dessert was her Punch Bowl Cake. She always had orders for that! She was kind hearted woman and loved to be with her family and friends.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Marvin A. Whitehurst, Jr of Pottstown; three children, Marcus A. Wade of Pottstown, Scott Wade and his wife, Rebecca of Camarillo, CA and Tabitha R. (Wade) Thomas and her husband, Al Thomas, Jr. of Quakertown; a step daughter, Xandria R. (Whitehurst) Durant and her husband, Parik of Charleston, SC; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Home Going Service for Peggy will be at 10am on Monday, March 1st, 2021 in Second Baptist Church, 507 N. Adams St. Pottstown, Pennsylvania 19464. gathering before services will be from 9:30 to 10am. Please, continue to practice social distancing. Arrive wearing a mask. Guests will be counted to maintain safety.
