Emil S. Washko

Emil S. Washko,86, husband of Marian (Zueno) Washko of Pottstown, PA passed away at Pottstown Manor Care on Friday July 12, 2019. Emil & Marian were married for 61 years. Born in Hazleton, PA he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Washko. Emil received a B.S. degree in Biology from Kings College. He worked as a office worker for Bethlehem Steel Corp and then worked for 25 years for Enviromental Resources of PA for twenty-five years. Emil had served in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of Holy Trinity R.C.C. Pottstown, PA and attended St. Teresa of Calcutta R.C.C. parish 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA . Surviving with his wife Marian are two daughters Suzanne Vargo of Pottstown, PA and Stephanie Devik wife of Timothy of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by three sons Emil Washko, Jr. husband of Connie of Sinking Spring, PA, Christopher Washko husband of Renee of Reading and Matthew Washko husband of Wanda of Pottstown, PA . He is also survived by eight grandchildren Su Shan Jessica (J.D. Korejko), Angela Washko, Heather Keating (William), Amanda Devik, Alex Devik (Brenna), Alicia Vargo, Jeffrey Washko and Julianna Washko. Also, three great-grandchildren Emma, Noah and Starlette. He is survived by a brother Andrew Washko and pre-deceased by four brothers George, Joseph, Francis and John. He is also pre-deceased by four sisters Mary Stevens, Irene Minotto, Helen Dori and Agnes Washko. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Teresa of Calcutta R.C.C. on Thursday July 18, 2019 at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends from 9 - 11 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Stowe, PA . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to either St. Teresa of Calcutta Capital Campaign c/o 256 Swamp Pike Schwenksville, PA 19473 or to the American Cancer Society of ones choice. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High St., Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
