Elizabeth Theresa (Bolognese) Polinitz, 89, of Pottstown, PA passed away on July 27, 2015 at Genesis Health Care (Pennsburg Manor). Elizabeth (Betty) was born on November 17, 1925 in Pottstown. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria Nicola (DiRenzo) Bolognese. Betty was a member of St. Aloysius Church in Pottstown since her baptism in 1925. She enjoyed being involved with the church, the prayer group, feeding the needy, volunteering with hospice and doing water exercises at the YMCA. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She enhanced many lives of all ages and cultures. She greeted everyone with a smile and opened her home to all. In her early years she worked for her brother, Valentine, at The Potato Market. In her later years, she was crossing guard and was employed by Sunnybrook Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Polinitz Jr., her brothers, Valentine Bolognese, Joseph Bolognese, Michael Bolognese, Anthony Bolognese; her sisters Mary Marchesani, Natalie DiColla; her nieces Gloria (Marchesani) Rush and Beatrice (Bolognese) Yaculak. She is survived by her daughters Michele Polinitz (wife to the late James Hume) of Lancaster, Gina Sheller (husband Charles) of Hershey and Anita Lastoskie of Pottstown; her granddaughter, Amber Joseph Bolognese, Michael Bolognese, Anthony Bolognese; her sisters Mary Marchesani, Natalie DiColla; her nieces Gloria (Marchesani) Rush and Beatrice (Bolognese) Yaculak. She is survived by her daughters Michele Polinitz (wife to the late James Hume) of Lancaster, Gina Sheller (husband Charles) of Hershey and Anita Lastoskie of Pottstown; her granddaughter, Amber Lastoskie of New York and her grandson Austin Lastoskie in Philadelphia. She is also survived by her nephews Stewart Bolognese, Dennis Bolognese, Michael Bolognese and her nieces Rose Marion Bolognese, Dolores Marcheski-Young and Monica McCoun. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA. Mass of the burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA.
