Elizabeth J. Homiak

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Homiak, 88, widow of Anthony A. Homiak of North Coventry Township passed away on Thursday September 21, 2017 peacefuly surrounded by her loving family. Born in Shamokin, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Pianis) Stasney. Betty had worked as a cafeteria aide at St. Aloysius School for many years. She was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. and a member of the church's womans group. She was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and was a former den mother for the cub scouts. Betty was a member of various church committee's and was one of the founding members of St. Thomas More R.C.C. in South Coventry Township. Surviving are four children Andrea A. wife of Richard McCracken of Douglassville, PA, Cindy H. wife of John A. Gawrys of Sugar Hill. GA, Barry V. Homiak of Langhorne, PA and David B. Homiak husband of Donna of Gilbertsville, PA. She is also survived by a Sister Constance Yucha of Pottstown, PA and seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson. She was pre-deceased by three siblings Eugene, Victor and Joan Stasney. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C., 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at 11 A.M. A viewing will be held in St. Aloysius Church Gathering Center on Wednesday from 9-10:45 A.M. prior to her mass. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Aloysius Parish School and sent to 844 North Keim Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
