Eileen M. Reider

Eileen M. (Pickar) Reider, 81, wife of Dennis Reider passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 in Lexington Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose Pickar, mother to the late Renee Fehr, and a devout Catholic.

Eileen and Dennis began their machine shop, Razor Sharp Grinding, in 1967. They built it from the ground up, literally, running it out of the basement of their home in Pottstown. Eileen and Dennis passionately grew the business to what it is today.

She was an avid lover of aviation and obtained her pilots license in 1972 and earned up to a commercial pilots license. Her and Dennis enjoyed flying for about 20 years, making many friends and memories along the way. She was also a member of the Ninety Nine's.

Eileen and Dennis also shared a love of auto racing, attending many different races including NASCAR, ARCA, and their grandson, Austin's, midget races as both sponsor and supporters. She was beyond thrilled to hear about her great granddaughter, Sadie, taking up the sport as well.

She loved her great grandchildren dearly and was known to pull out, what she called, her brag books. She showed everyone she knew the multitude of photos she kept with her of the children. She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother.

Along with her husband, Eileen is survived by a grandson, Austin Fehr (wife Melanie), and two great grandchildren, Sadie and Colton.

Eileen is predeceased by her daughter Renee Fehr.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Pottstown. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10 a.m. till 11a.m. at the Church.

Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Pottstown.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Thomas More Parish in Eileen's name.
