Edward C. Mccann

Edward C. "Eddie","Ed" McCann, 63, passed away Sunday, March 26th, 2023 at his residence.

He was a son of the late Edward and Joan (Gift) McCann.

Ed was a 1978 graduate of St. Pius X High School. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a contractor by trade and spent his career in the construction industry. Ed spent many years of his life coaching sports including football, baseball and wrestling. He was especially proud of the time spent with youth programs, specifically Pottstown PAL football organization and the Marsh Creek Select All-Star team. He acted as head coach and assistant coach at St. Pius High School in Pottstown, PA and Truman High School in Bristol, PA. He was a competitive pool player and won several local and national titles. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He loved the beach and would frequent the Delaware beaches any chance he got. He loved music, especially live music and karaoke. It was a summer tradition for him to attend the Kenny Chesney show in Philadelphia and he enjoyed this experience with so many of his friends and family. Ed had a contagious smile and an amazing sense of humor. He was well-known for his jokes and had so many "Ed-isms", which we will always remember with so much love.

Ed is survived by three children: Edward McCann, Shannon McCann (fiancée Brett Krumanocker) and Zachary McCann (fiancé Elizabeth Sitkowski). A sister, Jill Clauser (husband Dwayne) and three loving grandchildren: Jackson and Mason McCann and Rosalie.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown, PA. A memorial service will start at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.

Ed's family ask that you dress casual and wear clothing Ed would approve of, including but not limited to; camouflage, hunting/fishing attire, Eagles gear or whatever reminds you of Ed.
