Edward J. Dobry

Edward J. Dobry, Sr, 88, husband of Ann Jane (Case) Dobry of Pottstown, PA a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Bernard and Anna (Vanish) Dobry. Mr. Dobry was a pharmaceutical Supervisor for the West Company for 35 years . He had served in the European theatre of operations under the command of General George Patton in the U.S. Army 104th Regiment, 26th Yankee Division during World War II. Ed was a Prisoner of War for seven months. He was a member of St. Aloysius R.C.C. Beech & Hanover Streets in Pottstown, PA. He was a third degree member of Father Bally Council #1192 Knights of Columbus of Stowe, PA and a fourth degree member of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Assembly #3046 where he was a life member. Ed was also a member of the Pottstown American Legion and the Pottstown Elks Lodge # 814. Surviving with his wife Ann Jane who he was married to for 65 years are two sons Edward J. Dobry, Jr. of Upper Pottsgrove Township and Earl J. Dobry husband of Charlene of Pottstown, PA. Also, two daughters Rita wife of Jan McCord of Clearwater, FL and Marian L. wife of Gary Siepietowski of Boyertown, PA . Also eight grandchildren Brad Dobry husband of Karin, Jason Dobry husband of Natalie, Jerod Dobry, Jonathan Dobry, Juliene Plummer, Corinne McCord and David Siepietowski, Dana Siepietowski and four great-grandchildren Kate Dobry, Meredith Dobry, Nolan Dobry and Tessa Dobry. He is survived by a sister Leona Kepp of Elverson, PA and nine nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a brother Joseph Dobry and four sisters Anna Scheetz, Marie Neiman, Kathryn Spaar and Veronica Kriebel. He was also pre-deceased by a daughter-in-law Tierra L. Dobry Wife of Edward Dobry, Jr. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Lower Pottsgrove Township. A viewing will be Monday evening from 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday morning from 9-10 A.M. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 E.
