Edmund "Smokey" Fenyus, age 78, husband of Dorothy (Lowther) Fenyus of Honeysuckle Lane, Oaks, PA passed away Wednesday Feb 2 at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Phoenixville he was a son of the late Robert S. Fenyus and Helen (Gawel) Fenyus. He was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Norristown.He was employed as the former Chief of Police for Upper Providence Twp. and worker many years for his parents who owned the Perkiomen Cafe. Ed was a Korean War Navy Veteran serving on the USS Warrington DD 843. Surviving are sons Don Fenyus, Stowe, Stephen Fenyus, Oaks. Daughter Coleen wife of Carmen D'Archangelo of Malvern. Brothers Robert Fenyus, Kimberton, Daniel Fenyus, Phila. Sister Helen Gadonas, Kimberton. Grandchildren Jeremy, Jeffrey, Joseph and Marielle. Great Grandchildren Kegan, Madison, Cameron, Jamison and Carmen. Predeceased by a son Edmund R. Fenyus Jr. Brother Joseph Fenyus, Sister Irene Hakun and Daughter in Law Deborah (Schwindt) Fenyus. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 AM Monday Feb. 7. in Holy Trinity Church 219 Dayton St. Phoenixville. Burial in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery.
