Edith Mae Rogers

Edith Mae (Watkins) Rodgers, 92 of Manatawny Manor Nursing Home, East Coventry Township passed away on Saturday June 4, 2016 at the nursing home. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Irene (Jones) Watkins. Edith had worked in housekeeping for the former Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home for 15 years. In the past she had been active in missionary work and a choir member of Second Baptist Church of Pottstown, PA. She loved to watch television. Surviving is a daughter Lelia wife of James S. Fitzhugh of Pottstown, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren Yolanda Rodgers life companion of Alvin Howard and Trent Fitzhugh and two grandchildren Zyera and Alexa Howard. She is also survived by a brother Carl Watkins. Memorial services will be Saturday June 11, 2016 at 11 A.M. from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 240 Mintzer Street, Pottstown, PA with the Rev. Dr. William H. Ball III, pastor officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 A.M. at the church.
