Dorothy M. Mcalpine

Dorothy M. McAlpine, 80, wife of Eugene H. McAlpine, Sr. of King Street, Pottstown, PA passed away at her residence on Monday June 29, 2015. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of Mollie Arington. Dorothy worked as a mental health aide at the former Pennhurst Center and then as a teacher's aide for the Chester County School District where she worked until her retirement. She was also a foster grandparent for MELC of Pottstown. Dorothy was a member of the Total Family Christian Center in Reading, PA and also a member of the Church of the Living God in Pottstown, PA . Surviving with her husband is a son Eugene H. McAlpine, Jr. of Florida. She is also survived by five daughters Rhoda wife of Frank Patterson of Harrisburg, PA, Renee wife of Curtis Holmes of Pottstown, PA, Robyn McAlpine Keys of Norristown, PA, Carolyn wife of Larry Burdine of Reading, PA and Sil wife of Michael Green of Lancaster, PA . She was also pre-deceased by a daughter Rachel McAlpine. She is also survived by four brothers Marvin Williams husband of Erma and Edward Williams both of Pottstown, PA, George Williams of Florida and James Williams husband of Charlotte New York, New York. Also, two sisters Emma Jean Butler and Hazel Garrlington both of Pottstown, PA and ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and two godchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 8, 2015 at 11 A.M. from the Church of the Living God, 380 Walnut Street, Pottstown, PA . Interment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. A viewing will be Wednesday from 9:30-11 A.M. at the church. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
