Doris J Evenstad

Doris Evenstad, Grammy is fondly remembered as a very gentle soul who was faithful in serving the Lord encompassing her life and Sundays in church.

She was a mother, wife, friend, cousin, and a Grammy. She had a tone of laughter that reminded us of her uniqueness, shared a great smile that shared a soft feeling of peace. She shared stories from her life, enjoyed long conversations with family and friends, decorated her home for the holidays, enjoyed sweets; especially her jelly beans.

Grammy enjoyed feeding ducks as it brought her happiness with her granddaughter Samantha and Giann Carlos. Adored her great grandchildren Riley and Xavier as it meant the world to her to know them. She was appreciated for being outspoken with a charm of stubbornness with some shimmer. Grammy always maintained a nice hairdo, clean sharp appearance upon her dress attire. She enjoyed time with family and lifelong friends, celebrating relay for life walks representing hers and others surviving.

She lives on through her daughter Lori, her grandchildren Lauren Parnell, Alexandra Parnell Horton, and Samantha Parnell, Great grandchildren, Riley and Xavier Horton, close friends and family, Giann Carlos and Nate Horton who keep her very close in their hearts. A grammy that made life feel a way that we can never forget especially when she would clap her hands when she enjoyed her hoagies from Ice House. She lives on with us while continuing on to the pearly gates as she joins her mother, her husband, Richard, and the Lord in heaven surrounded by Peace.
