Donald H. Wilcox

Donald H. Wilcox,82, widower of Catherine H. (Adamski) Wilcox of Kline Avenue, North Coventry Township died Wednesday at his residence. Born in East Penbrook, NY, he was the son of the late Roy and Ethel (Harrigan) Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox was a mechanic who first worked at Sears in Pottstown. He then started his own business known as Wilcox and Sons on Cedarville Road from 1971-1984 where he repaired lawn and garden equipment. After selling the business he went back to working at Sears having a total time of 28 years with the company. Even after his business closed he still enjoyed repairing lawn equipment for family, friends and neighbors from his residence. He was a member of the North Coventry Town Watch and the Sears Retiree's. He enjoyed dressing and playing Santa Claus for the Christmas Holiday. Surviving are two sons Michael Wilcox husband of Lisa and Christopher Wilcox husband of MaryJo both of Pottstown, PA . He is also survived by a granddaughter Ashley Wilcox of Pottstown and a sister Irene wife of Carl Schlagenhauf of Zephyr Hills, FL . He was pre-deceased by a son Donald Wilcox. Funeral Services will be Monday June 13, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be Monday from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to make contributions in Donald H. Wilcox's name to the charity of ones choice.
