Donald R. Shanley

Donald R. Shanley, 91, husband of the late Dorothy M. (Stonesifer) Shanley, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Frederick Living Center.

He was a son of the late Clarence and Anna (Baker) Shanley.

He served as Corporal in the US Army from 1951-1954. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1987 after 33 years. Donald was a Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed watching the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. He was also an avid Penn State fan attending many football games including the Orange Bowl. He enjoyed watching old westerns, hosting family get-togethers, and playing cards.

Donald leaves behind his memories to be cherished by his children: Tommy (wife Marie) Shanley, Steve (wife Debbie) Shanley, Barbara (Husband Scott) Bender, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by five sisters and three brothers.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home Inc., Pottstown. Service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service in Limerick Garden of Memories.
