Donald E. Wilson

Donald Eric Wilson Sr., 93, husband of the late Virginia (Nester) Wilson, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Eric and Minnie (Berkey) Wilson.

Donald served in the Army and was a Draftsman with Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years, serving as Chief of Empire Hook & Ladder Company. He was a member of Pottstown Volunteer Firemen's Relief Association and served on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Association of Firemen. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, going to car shows and conducting HO train club meetings in his home.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, Donald Jr. of New Hanover Township and his daughter, Donna of Mission Viejo, California.

A viewing will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 11:30 till noon at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home Inc, 726 High Street, Pottstown. A service will follow at noon.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Parker Ford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald's memory to Goodwill Steam Fire Engine Company #1, 714 E. High Street, Pottstown.
