Demetrius J. Grabowsky, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 10, 1942, in Phoenixville, he was the beloved son of the late John and Sophia (Zwizansky) Grabowsky.
Demetrius lived a life filled with passion and joy. Known for his love of cooking, he often delighted family and friends with his culinary creations. An avid sports fan, Demetrius could often be found cheering loudly for his favorite teams-the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Penn State-especially while enjoying the thrill of hockey games with his grandson. He had an adventurous spirit, traveling extensively and creating lasting memories along the way. However, what he cherished most was the time spent surrounded by his beloved family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his son Matthew Grabowsky, daughter-in-law Hoang-Q Nguyen, daughter Lisa Rissmiller, step-daughter Maryann Mangold-Donovan, and his brother Fr. Myron Grabowsky. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Richard Fritchman II (and wife Kelly), Kessler Grabowsky, Lukas Grabowsky, Sara Rissmiller, Hausten Grabowsky, and step great-granddaughter Donna Fosgate.
Demetrius is predeceased by his sisters Daria Hoffman and Sonya Wilt.
