Deborah M. Streck

Deborah M. Streck, 52, of West Third Street , Pottstown, PA died Tuesday May 17, 2011 at her residence. Born in Allentown, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank X. and Ida (Ewens) Surma. Deborah had worked as a nurses aide at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for many years. She later worked as a caseworker at Kencrest and then as a supervisor at Columbia Cottage Assisted Living Facility. She belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Pottstown, St. Gabriel's Lodge in Stowe, Life member of West End Fire Co. of Stowe, Holy Trinity Club of Pottstown. She was a volunteer for the Pottstown Relay For Life from its beginning. Surviving is her Fiancee Adam Hunsberger with whom she resided. Also, two brothers Lawrence R. Surma of Pennsburg, PA and Frank Surma who resides in the state of Washington. Grave side services will be Tuesday May 24, 2011 at 11 am at St. Marks Cemetery Pennsburg, PA with the Rev. Thomas Craver, chaplain of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center officiating. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 East High Street Pottstown, PA is in charge of arrangements.
