Debora A. Bukey

Debora Bukey, age 57, died on November 18, 2016 at her home in Pottstown, PA. She was welcomed into a loving family helmed by Harriet Stahre and Robert Donovan on February 13, 1959 and enjoyed a raucous upbringing surrounded by her siblings. Debbie attended Boyertown Area High School and then set off down the path that would shape her life providing care and comfort to others. She graduated from Sacred Heart School of nursing and established herself as a compassionate and accomplished nurse. Driven to provide the best care Debbie returned to school and exceled achieving her Batchelor's Degree from LaSalle University and her Master's Degree from Wilmington University. The joyous spirit that Debbie brought to her work filled the lives of her family. She married the love of her life, John Bukey, on November 1, 1980. Together they set out on a 36-year adventure joined by their son, Robert Bukey, in 1985. Debbie found joy in the large and small moments in life and was exuberant in sharing her passions. She loved late night meteor showers with her husband and supervising her son plant the flower beds. Her caring nature extended to the hummingbird friends that visited her flowers and her four legged children, Abercrombie and Fitch, that ran around the backyard in addition to her yearly trips to Cape Cod to visit with her humpback whales. Debbie will be remembered for her quick wit, exuberant spirit, and amazing pies. She will be missed by her co-workers and all those she cared for at Occupational Health/CarePlex and Boyertown Family Practice. In addition to her husband and son, Debbie was beloved by her parents Harriet and Paul Stahre, Robert and Myrna Donovan; siblings Patrick and Pam Donovan, Valerie Donovan and Colleen Lawless; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; plus countless true and devoted friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Saturday, November 26, 2016. At 11 A.M. A viewing will be held from 9 – 11 am at the church Gathering Center. Private interment at St. Aloysius New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cluster Outreach Center at 57 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
